itimeless:

It’s Interesting you know… there are millions of artists everyday out there who go on unappreciated and unheard of because of who knows what. We see people try too hard to be something they know they’re not, we see people with the wrong approach, we see people who just don’t care enough, and often we just reach a point with an artist where maybe they become irrelevant and then their efforts become insignificant. The excuses can be endless, ultimately leading to no specific satisfying answer to why John or Jane Doe fail to realize their potential or never even have anyone tell them that same potential exists. My point is, despite the fact that some RAPPERS might actually deserve the treatment they get from this industry and this world, some ARTISTS don’t. This is a world where sometimes the good guy doesn’t win, but that doesn’t mean the effort isn’t there. As I sit here at midnight, listening to this free project that barely anyone knows about, it’s unfortunate. So I’m here taking this opportunity to tell those who are willing to read this to open your ears.

Muz is a 23-year-old student of music, not Hip Hop. He’s produced and spearheaded his entire project titled Seasons and honestly, I’m willing to go out on a limb and say this project stands head and shoulders above most rappers albums you’ve heard this year (so far). I’m not going to tell you it sounds like that new Drake or that unequivocally mainstream music you may hear on the radio. Nothing against that, because I’d be one of the first individuals to tell you “Hey, every type of music deserves it’s own fanbase.” It’s true. Waka Flocka Flame doesn’t necessarily make music for the exact same guys who faithfully stand by Immortal Technique. That said, I love Seasons for being something really great in a different lane. It’s exceptionally real music, with fantastic production and thought provoking lyricism.  It’s good to stand away from yelling “I WOKE UP IN A NEW BUGATTI” once in a while and remember that we as people have different types of Hip Hop for a reason. I like Future’s Pluto 3D, but I can also enjoy Common’s Be. So take a moment, grab your headphones, head to your whip or whatever it is you do when you need to listen to some quality music, and let Muz show out on Seasons. One track is above and the download link is below but do NOT let that summarize what you’re dealing with here. They say people have seasons, but let Muz tell it and he’ll say it’s how we perceive them.

"People always think they know other people, but they don’t. Not really. I mean, maybe they know things about them, like they won’t eat doughnuts or they like action movies or whatever. But they don’t know what their friends do in their rooms alone at night or what happened to them when they were kids or if they feel fucked up and sad for not reason at all."
